This play is not to be missed – very clever & humorous, making for a most delightful evening of relaxing & watching your friends & neighbors perform. These very talented guys & two gals wear many hats in this radio production & are as close to professional as you’re going to find on the Peninsula. Peter Shearer & Stan Scheidlinger are standouts having played with Spindrift players & on other stages previously. I left with my cheeks hurting from smiling so much. Trust me on this one. Enjoy!

We RECOMMEND IT!
Anne & I went to the “It’s A Wonderful Life … Radio Play” last night (12/5/14) at the little church on Bunker Hill Rd near Polhemus. We’d would definitely recommend it as an easy, entertaining neighborhood thing to do. Beats TV any day or night!
I personally liked this rewritten radio version script much better than the movie version we’ve all seen many times on TV. This version is funnier and less sentimental. Watching live actors is always more fun too … and these particular local performers obviously have decades of acting experience.
Being the live studio audience for the radio show production setting was a nifty twist! Seeing how a radio show works adds to the entertainment value. However, it was far from just a radio reading with sound effects. There was some good live visual entertainment too.
The play breaks into three acts which are not terribly long (1 hr 40 minutes total?). During the two intermissions you can enjoy coffee & cookies in the adjacent Fireside room or even escape if need be. :)
