Drop Dead, a comedy play. Thu-Sat 5/7-5/9/15

The Crystal Springs Players is performing the theatrical play Drop Dead written by the prolific Off-Broadway and TV playwrights Billy Van Zandt (who wrote the original pilot episode of I Love Lucy) and Jane Milmore.

This hilarious play-within-a-play stars an ensemble of dysfunctional actors and staff who strive to resurrect their careers in a murder mystery-within-a-murder-mystery.  During dress rehearsal turmoil erupts as actors forget their lines, props break, sound and light effects crash, and the set collapses … while attempts are made on the cast and crew’s lives.  Chaos reigns on opening night and the murder attacks continue but the actors try to solve the mystery and survive until curtain call.  No one is safe, not even the audience!  The “show must go on” in this comic ensemble farce.

– Friday-Sunday, May 1, 2 , 3. Friday night, May 1, is the opening night champagne gala.
* Location: 2145 Bunker Hill Dr, San Mateo, CA 94402. Close to Hwys 92 & 280 and with plenty of parking. (see Map).
* Tickets are available at the door: Regular $20 and Senior/Student $18.
* Reservations: You may make reservations by calling (650) 345-2381.  This is not necessary but will help to assure a better seat.
