The Day of the Coming of the Holy Spirit

^{Please join us on Sunday for Pentecost, when we will celebrate the birthday of the church as a community empowered by the Holy Spirit.}  Our pastor will preach on the topic “ The Day of the Coming of the Holy Spirit” as described in Acts 2: 1-21, and the music for this Sunday will continue to remind us of the inspiring power of the Holy Spirit.  Jazz pianist Jeffrey Chin will play his arrangements of three hymns, including “Breathe on Me, Breath of God,” and will accompany the choir in the anthem “Holy Spirit, Come and Fill Us.”

    As part of this celebration, many of us will bring unwrapped gifts for the church:  paper supplies, cleaning supplies, items that we can use for our services and activities.
