Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots

Come join us Sunday, August 16 at 10:00 AM for worship at Crystal Springs United Methodist Church. 
This Sunday, we will hear beautiful music from our pianist, Jonathan Wang, and the Scripture reading from Matthew 15:10–20 and 21–28. Our candidate, William Orecchia, will bring the message: “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.” These two passages of Scripture invite us to look deeper not just at how we appear on the outside, but at what is growing inside our hearts. Jesus teaches us that what comes out of our hearts matters. Sometimes there are things growing within us that God never planted anger, bitterness, pride, unforgiveness, judgment, and fear. God wants to pull those things up by the roots so that something better can grow. Then we met a Canaanite woman, whose daughter needed healing. Even when she faced obstacles and seemed to receive no answer, she refused to give up. Jesus ultimately recognized her great faith. Come hear the Gospel, enjoy beautiful music, fellowship with one another, and let’s get back to the meaning of going to church not simply attending, but coming together to worship, hear God’s Word, grow in faith, and encourage one another.
