Harpist and Vocalist at 4/10/2016 service

Harp and VocalistThere will be a harpist and vocalist at Crystal Springs UMC’s worship service on Sunday, April 10th.

Ricky and Amber Rasura perform frequently together as a harp and vocal duo in the Bay Area. They perform many genres from classical music, to contemporary worship, to original indie pop.

Ricky grew up in El Paso, Texas and earned a degree in harp performance from Texas Tech University. After college, he and his harp toured the world with the Polyphonic Spree, a pop-rock orchestra. Ricky has been principal harpist for many orchestras and performing groups. He has taught harp ensemble and currently teaches mariachi, band, and orchestra at San Jose High School. Amber grew up in Temple, Texas and earned a degree and certification in Music Education from the University of Texas at the Permian Basin. While in university, she performed with a variety of choral groups and as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra at UTPB. She currently teaches voice lessons in San Jose and works as a worship leader at Westminster Presbyterian.

The two have a cat, Miss Meows, and are currently expecting their first child.
