Palm/Passion Sunday

This Sunday we will wave palm leaves as we observe Palm Sunday and join in a joyful hymn recalling Jesus’s procession into Jerusalem. For our special music, our handbell choir will play “Triumphant” (Hosanna),” which also evokes this procession.  Later in the service the focus will turn toward the events commemorated during Holy Week. Pastor Tapa will preach on the subject “The Passion of the Messiah.” During the Offertory the choir will sing an arrangement of “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross,  “ and  for the Postlude, the handbell choir will play a meditative piece, “Before the Dawn.”
