The Seventh Sunday of Easter
Come join us on this Mother’s Day Sunday as we continue to celebrate Christ’s resurrection.
0n May 12th, the Seventh Sunday of Easter, we will read from the Gospel of John, Chapter 17: 6—19, in which Jesus prays for his disciples as he prepares to leave them. In her sermon, “Jesus’s Prayer for Us, His Disciples, ”Pastor Kata’i’i will relate Jesus’s words to our lives. We welcome jazz pianist Jeffrey Chin, who will play his arrangements of several familiar hymns. Our choir under the direction of Music Director Bill Alley will sing “God Is Calling Us,” an anthem by Natalie Sleeth, adapted and arranged by Jean Anne Shafferman, that incorporates the beloved hymn “Kum Ba Yah.”
